Solo Leveling Sung Suho

Sung Suho is the son of the Sung Jinwoo and Cha Hae-In. He is also the main protagonist of Solo Leveling: Ragnarok.

Appearance

Suho is a tall, handsome, and muscular young man with gray eyes and black hair, both of which he inherited from his father. His face resembles that of his mother's and shares the same softer facial features that she does. When using his powers or feeling intense emotions, his eyes glow blue.

Personality

As a teenager, Suho displays little interest in things that bore him and don't get his blood pumping, especially his education. He also enjoys fighting and tends to get physical with any bullies who are stupid enough to pick on him, having garnered a reputation for it by the time he was in high school.^[6]

As the son of a detective and the grandson of a firefighter, Suho has a strong sense of justice, as displayed when he attacked the Hyena Guild without thinking after witnessing them abduct people for their own ends. He is also willing to forge alliances with his father's former enemies and even cares for them to an extent, as shown when he apologized to Gray for unintentionally overworking him.

As a toddler, Suho had a fascination with ants due to his friendship with Beru. Even after Jinwoo erased his memories of Beru, Suho did not lose this trait and his fascination with ants persisted to the point that he would draw them for fun and even make sure not to accidentally step on them as a child.^[7]

Abilities

As the son of the Shadow Monarch, Suho is one of the strongest humans alive. By the time he was in high school, he had already far surpassed the average S-Rank Hunter in power and was so strong by that point that only Jinwoo could defeat him in a one-on-one battle. However, as powerful as he is, he has yet to reach his full potential. Most of his powers were also sealed away when he was a toddler, meaning that he must train to regain them all.

• Immense Strength: Suho possesses immense physical strength. As a testament to this, he was able to overpower Bellion during their first fight^[8] and even hold his own against Jinwoo for a brief period of time. His strength also enabled him to climb the floors of the Demon Castle at a significantly faster rate than Jinwoo was able to during his time as the Player of the System, despite not having any soldiers to assist him, and kill Vulcan with just a few blows.^[9]

• Immense Speed: Suho is incredibly fast and can move at immense speeds, as shown by how he was agile enough to keep up with his father's movements (albeit for a brief period of time) during their battle.

• Combat Mastery: Despite not having any formal training, Suho is incredibly talented at hand-to-hand combat. He is also skilled in wielding weapons such as swords and daggers, even though he prefers to fight bare-handed.

• Accelerated Development: Much like his father, Suho has an explosive growth rate and can significantly increase his strength through intensive training over a short period of time.

• Elf's Steps: A stealth skill taught to Suho by Sirka, Sillad's successor. This allows Suho to basically leave no tracks/footprints in any terrain by applying mana on the soles of his feet. In one instance, it even allowed him to walk on the surface of the Sea after Death when he was searching for the World Tree.

• Advanced Dagger Techniques: Evolved from his Dual Swordsmaship skill. Unlike his father Suho preferred swords. However, upon receiving Kamish's Wrath as a quest reward, the skill promptly evolved.^[11]

• Gluttony: After Esil became the new Queen of Demons, the Monarch of Gluttony, she appoints Suho as her priest and bestows her blessing on him. The Gluttony skill allows Suho to more efficiently refine the 'nutrients' of the world when leveling up by boosting the absorption rate to 300%.^[12]

Active Skills

• Ruler's Authority: Suho is able to move and control objects via telekinesis.^[13]

• Shadow Extraction: Suho is able to extract shadows from the corpses of his enemies and add them into his army.

• Form Change: A bonus feature that Suho's skill has. It allows him to arbitrarily change the shape of any shadow soldier he has acquired for greater utility.^[14]

• Shadow Preservation: Suho is able to preserve his shadows in storage and monitor them by perceiving their senses.

• Shadow Exchange: Suho is able to use shadows as portals to travel vast distances in an instant.^[15]

• Monarch's Domain: Suho is able to increase the strength of all of his active shadows in battle. However, unlike his father's version of this skill, Suho's version comes with flames due to possessing some of Antares' powers.^[16]

• Storm Slash: An area of effect sword skill tipically used to deal with a crowd of enemies by releasing multiple sword slashes.^[17]

• Beast Possession: Blessing given by Rakan. This allows Suho to absorb Gray's spirit body. The skill is reminiscent of Beast Transformation and increases his movement and attack speed by 30%.^[18]

• Iron Body Technique: Taught to Suho by Ammut, Tarnak's previous master. It is a power that allows an individual to exceed the limits of their physical body and transcend into the realm of the soul, surpassing the laws of physics to strike directly at a spiritual body with sheer strength.^[19]. When the skill is in use parts of Suho's body are covered in a black armor, especially his arms which effectively acts like a gauntlet. According to Ammut, he had tried to apply the skill to cover a weapon but had been unsuccessful. Even Tarnak failed to do so, making Suho the first person to achieve this feat.

• Giant's Armor: A gigantification skill Suho learned from a rune stone.^[20] The skill evolved when it was infused with the flames from Antares' Dragon Heart.^[21]

• Poison: Blessing given by Querehsha. This provides Suho with complete immunity to any and all poison he ingests. As a bonus, he can also reproduce each poison and inflict it on enemies.

• Frigid Blizzard: Blessing given by Sillad. This allows Suho to literally create a blizzard which applies a debuff that decreases movement and attack speed.

• Bloodlust

• Storm of Black Flames: Evolution of Storm Slash. After Suho completes his first Draconic Trial for his job change by reaching level 99, he receives Antares' Dragon Heart as a reward. The flames from the dragon heart engulfed suho and caused a mutation in some of his skills.^[22]

Job Skills

• Breath of Destruction: Antares' signature skill, Suho learns the skill when battling Baran for his third Draconic Trial during his ongoing job change quest.^[23]

• Suho's birthday is November 21st.^[24]

• Suho is currently in line to succeed Antares as the Monarch of Destruction.

• In the novel, Suho wields a pair of twin swords as instead of fighting bare-handed like he does in the webtoon, though he later swapped them out for a pair of knives.

• In the novel, Suho did not obtain Kandiaru's Blessing in his battle against the Mistburn.
